Migration law is an area of law that regulates the movement of people and the change of their place of residence or location. Typically, migration law covers immigration, emigration, internal migration, and temporary stays outside of one's place of residence (for tourism, business, and other purposes). In the complex system of measures of internal and external policies of any state, migration policy occupies a separate place.
